Scott Self's Sailing Experience:
2007 US Coast Guard Master Captains 50-ton License
2005 Division Winner of the Transpac Yacht Race, from Los Angeles to Hawaii
2005 and 2006 Overall Winner of the Harvest Moon Race from Galveston to Port Aransas
2004 2nd Place in J-22 World Championship
1973 Winner of Men’s North American Sailing Championship (Mallory Cup)
In addition, Scott has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean twice in a 44 foot sailboat (once heading east, and once heading west!) and twice raced in the Fastnet Race winning his division.
He has placed in the top 10 of every major class of sailboat at National Championships from Sunfish to 60 footers.
Scott Self has the experience to teach sailing, and makes it fun for students to fall in love with the sport of sailing and to become competent sailors.

Greg Olsen is the Captain of "Harbor Lights"
Greg previously was the captain the "Texas Queen" for 9 years until the boat was retired from service in 2007
Fred Self, Scott's older brother, is the captain of "Bucket List". Fred has his 100 tom USCG Masters Captains license.
First Mate Roxanne. Otherwise known as The “Admiral”, Roxanne is as lovely a host as ever graced a ship.
Roxanne is originally from Michigan and has lived in Texas for 25+ years. She has been sailing with Captain Randy for 25 years.

Leaving for the Transpac Race in 2005

Scott has been married to Jan, his college sweetheart, for 39 years. His son Billy is President of ProSoap Inc. and his daughter Chandler is a medical doctor completing her residency at Beth Israel Hospital, NYC.

Jan is First Mate and crews on Seawolf 98% of the time. She has sailed for over 45 years and is a consumate hostess.
